An Effective Advertising Method That Works

And You’re Not Even Using It - But Your Competition Is

Competition is increasingly fierce out there - how effective are you at getting your firm noticed above the strain of never ending advertisements? Its time for you to do something unique, something your competition hasn’t considered…. yet. Have you thought about gift baskets?

Before you stop reading this and write off the suggestion, there is a case to be made and an opportunity to make quite the over looking.

While traditional gift baskets have been of the meat and cheese variety, today, there are several different types of corporate gift baskets to choose from, covering all sorts of themes and tastes. It all depends on the type of impression you want to make.

One of our corporate clients sent a chocolate gift basket to one of their perspective customers, but instead of sending it to the executives, they sent it to the secretarial staff. I can tell you, they never forgot the name of the company that sent them the generous assortment of chocolates, making it easier for them to call the company, and get through to the executives.

Gift baskets say a lot about your company. What type of message would you like to send to a perspective client? A gift basket filled with quality products reflects that your firm appreciates quality over quantity. Traditional meat and cheese baskets reflects a more formal style, whereas a gift basket full of snacks and treats shows that your firm’s fun side.
You’ve already done your homework on your next client - does he enjoy a cigar? Does she play golf? Do they have a sweet tooth or have a soft spot for snacks? There are gift baskets full of fresh and unique products that cover these.
A gift basket is always a surprise. It piques our interest as to who was thoughtful enough to send it, and automatically sets them apart from everyone else. That is the difference. Whether you choose to present the gift basket in person, or place a business card inside, you are advertising your company in a more positive light. You will stand out.
Its tough to get your message across to potential clients. When you think of the other forms of advertisement you use to attract new clients, its difficult to find one that adds a more personal touch than a unique gift basket. Just ask the ladies who enjoyed their chocolate treats!

Myth about Gift Baskets

Myth: Anyone can make a gift basket just by throwing a few things in a basket
Truth: This is definitely not the case. Those who are successful in the gift basket industry do anything but just throw items in a basket.

Myth: The gift basket industry is just another craft or hobby
Truth: Some of my friends and mentors in the gift basket industry are making six figures, not bad if it was just a hobby.
